TRUTHGIRLZ MENTOR TESTIMONY
As a TruthGirlz mentor, I am grateful for so many different things about this program! Personally, I have benefited greatly from having a community of strong, Christ-centered women in my corner who have prayed with (and for) me through various challenges and seasons of my life. I can’t even explain how valuable this is! In addition, the TruthGirlz staff provides us with so many resources, constant empowerment, and positivity. I feel like I have grown just as much as our girls have throughout my years of mentoring!
When it comes to the girls we mentor, I am so grateful that they have this opportunity! It’s easy for me to look back at my own childhood and realize I never had these impactful conversations with my parents or any other adults (about relationships, handling emotions, faith, friendships, boundaries, body image, etc.). We all just seemed to learn things from our friends who heard things from other people. It was definitely a confusing time, and I would have benefited greatly from participating in a program like TruthGirlz myself! It truly warms my heart knowing that I get to be a part of something way bigger than myself. Every week we are loving on teen girls like Jesus did and planting good seeds for them to use both now and in the future. I know the impact on the community today and on this future generationwill be tremendous, and I’m so grateful to play a small role in it!
