Biblical Truth

Christina Lovelace - TruthGirlz Director

Our girls are encouraged to journal their thoughts and experiences. Keeping up with journal assignments and scripture memorization are not mandatory but are rewarded with incentive points. A Boutique is held each semester to give the girls a chance to spend the points they have earned.  Points are earned through attendance, scripture memorization, participation, report cards and more!

The 26-week duration of the TruthGirlz program is intended to offer support to each girl throughout the school year. The length of the program also allows time for our Leaders and Mentors to earn the trust and respect of the girls and for the participants to develop valuable friendships with each other. These purposeful relationships will replace negative influences like peer pressure and serve as key factors in and addressing preventing at risk behaviors and maintaining accountability for healthy choices.

By sharing biblical truths in engaging ways, TruthGirlz encourages our teens to grow into confident, capable, critically thinking young women with a positive influence on their world. If all girls were equipped to transition to womanhood with dignity, to love themselves and others in healthy ways and empowered as women to pursue the best of life- the world itself will be changed.

Spiritual Principles

  • First Principle is God’s nature and his intent toward humanity. Using John 3:16 as a reference, this describes God’s love for the world, as demonstrated through the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus. This also emphasizes God’s favorable plans for mankind through salvation. “I came that they might have life and might have it abundantly” (John 10:10).

  • Romans 3:23"All people have done wrong things. Nobody can be good and great, as God wanted them to be." Then Scripture’s truth define sin in real terms and explain the consequences associated with sin. According to this law, humanity was created to experience a close and loving fellowship with our creator. But because we preferred our own will to His, our rebellion caused a rift in the sacred relationship that ultimately led to a death sentence. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." God’s holiness compared to humanity’s sinfulness and the gulf between the two points seem impossible to bridge because man has no means of reaching God through any human effort.

  • The only way fallen mankind can ever reunite with a Holy God is through Jesus. Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him, you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.

Using Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, and John 14:6, this principle not only shows the reader the Way to God, but also explains the Truth about the cost of our salvation, and the Life it required—all pointing to Jesus.

Jesus is the only bridge for the eternal gulf that separates God from man. His Son died on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.

  • The Bible gives us practical instruction to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This law uses John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, and John 3:1-8 to explain what it means to receive Christ through faith and what it means to be born again.

Jesus invites us to salvation (Revelations 3:20). Repentance and surrender are crucial prerequisites for salvation, and a clear warning is issued about emotion-based or half-hearted decisions. “Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, it is an act of the will.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
